Mike is the man! He made our entire process virtually effortless and got it done in record time.

Mike helped us close on our house in record time! He kept things moving quickly and efficiently to help us close over 10 days than we originally thought we would. He explained everything throughout the whole process and ensured we felt comfortable with what we were getting into. Mike was amazing to work with. He was able to answer all of our questions on needing to secure funds for a needed home renovation. 100% would recommend Mike. When my wife and I started the mortgage application process, he found that if only one of us was on the application, we got a much better rate as 1st time home buyers. His loan tool was really helpful in allowing us to calculate an appropriate down payment and see how far our budget took us to avoid surprises. He pushed back on third parties if things didn't align with his and our expectations. He worked around our schedules and drove 1hr+ out of his way to make it to our off-site closing. Will definitely work with Mike again in the future!

He went out of his way to drive and pick up documents necessary for the mortgage process when I was unable because of work. I won't lie, obtaining a mortgage is stressful in and of itself but Michael was patient with me and walked me thru every little detail. He got me the best rate he could and got me discounts and rebates. On my closing day, he surprised me with a homemade cheesecake. He literally helped me move. Mike hit a couple of rough patches working up my loan but he sailed me right through them. Not only that, he listened to me so attentively that he actually suggested we go after something I was planning for a couple of years down the road and he got the job done! This guy was great!

Michael was a great help with the refinancing process. He was able to secure a lower rate for me and I am now paying less monthly on my loan. You will not find a guy that is going to harder to get you the best deal possible than Mike Halker. As a new business owner recently self employed, trying to refinance my house was said to be impossible as I had not been in business for a full calendar year. Somehow, Mike was able to find a lender to back my refinance deal by searching his extensive list of lenders. He took my interest rate from 4.25% to 2.75% and was able get my PMI payment dropped completely. A total savings of about $295.00 per month. I would definitely work with Mike Halker again for anything mortgage related. 5 stars for sure!
